Overview

Overview

Deeper colour from a warmer vintage. Raspberry/ cherry notes with some underlying earthiness and plush oak. Ripe palate with texture, fine silky tannins and length. Drink now - 2025.

Note: The tasting note reflects the wine when it was tasted in 2013 upon its release. It has since evolved and developed further complexity following years of careful bottle maturation in our cellars.
Our winemaking team have recently tasted this wine and confirmed its condition. It is drinking beautifully today showcasing intriguing aged characteristics that can only be derived with the passage of time.

Oliver's Wines

A supple. willowy and charming pinot whose heady floral perfume of red cherries, raspberries and fresh cedar/vanilla oak reveals nuances of confiture and bubblegum. ItÕs smooth and gentle, medium in weight, with a charmingly pristine presence of fruit and faintly smoky oak underpinned by a fine, slatey spine and culminating in a refreshing and tightly focused finish. It will certainly build in the bottle but is likely to retain its feminine edge. Drink 2021 - 2025. 95 Points.

Xavier Rousset MS, Alex Hunt MW

Attractive redcurrant jelly nose, though a touch shy. Ripe attack, quite sweet but not jammy, intense thanks to fine acidity, has tension and spice, is pungent and vibrant. Long and very neatly balanced, with lovely grip. 2016-2026. 90 Points.

Yarra Valley, Victoria

Cooler than Bordeaux yet warmer than Burgundy, picturesque Yarra Valley is one of Australia's foremost cool-climate wine regions. An easy one-hour’s drive from Melbourne, the area is home to more than 80 cellar doors. In addition to the huge range of wineries, the area boasts superb contemporary restaurants, authentic rustic farms - and luxury overnight accommodation if the sightseeing gets too much! The fertile Yarra Valley soils produce famously elegant and textured Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
