Coldstream Hills prides itself for having access to many of the best vineyards in the Yarra Valley. These sites are found throughout the upper and lower Yarra Valley with each vineyard providing a range of unique characteristics to the wines.
Back in the late 1980s, James Halliday introduced single vineyard wines to Coldstream Hills demonstrating their unique styles. The tradition has continued with the release of the Single Vineyard range.

Expansive and vibrant, revealing layers of red cherry, raspberry and a hint of rhubarb, interwoven with graphite-like minerality and fragrant whole-bunch spice. Subtle blue-fruit notes linger beneath the surface, while seamless French oak and hints of rose petal add perfume, depth and complexity.
Plush layers of raspberry and red cherry are underpinned by graphite minerality, seamlessly integrated oak, and subtle nuances of whole-bunch spice and blue fruits. Silky texture, great length and a fine-grained tannin finish lend both poise and persistence.
Cooler than Bordeaux yet warmer than Burgundy, picturesque Yarra Valley is one of Australia's foremost cool-climate wine regions. An easy one-hour’s drive from Melbourne, the area is home to more than 80 cellar doors. In addition to the huge range of wineries, the area boasts superb contemporary restaurants, authentic rustic farms - and luxury overnight accommodation if the sightseeing gets too much! The fertile Yarra Valley soils produce famously elegant and textured Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
A warm start to the growing season with below average rainfall which continued through into the summer months. Temperatures remained consistently above average leading to one of the earliest harvests in recent times. The wines produced reflect the season with generosity and depth of flavour.
